Statement of Cooperation
As parents:
We will regularly and earnestly pray for NHLA; the teachers, administrators, students, and board members.
We will fully cooperate in the educational activities of NHLA. We will do our best to make their education a part of our normal lives, demonstrating a positive attitude toward it and being highly involved with their learning.
We acknowledge that the parent is the primary educator of their child.
Our family will support the spiritual activities of the school (Chapel, Bible, Scripture memory, etc.).
We will pay all financial obligations on or before the date due. Details will be available through FACTS, our tuition management company.
We understand and support the policies of the School Handbook and discuss them with our child.
The school has full discretion in the discipline of our children in accordance with the “Student Code of Conduct.”
We agree to hold my child accountable for their behavior. When my child receives correction at NHLA, they will receive follow-up correction at home.
The school reserves the right to place our children at the appropriate grade level and designate the appropriate teacher(s).
We realize and understand grades aren’t given; they are earned.
We understand that the school reserves the right to dismiss our student(s) for lack of cooperation on the part of the student, parent and/or guardian. Admission to NHLA is a privilege, not a right. It is a privilege granted with the understanding that students will desire to live as Bible-believing, consecrated Christians.
We understand exemplary conduct of developing young Christians is expected of my child. Drinking alcoholic beverages, using marijuana or illegal drugs, smoking, profanity, disrespect for authority or property, improper sexual behavior and abuse of others are prohibited. This applies to school and non-school related social activities where unacceptable behavior would have an adverse effect on the testimony of the school.
We will not make excuses for our child.
We will volunteer for duties and responsibilities as opportunities arise and God provides the time and strength.
We will be faithful to attend all parent functions, as best we can. These include open houses, parent meetings, parent conferences, and/or information nights.
We agree that we will in no case complain to other parents, spread criticism, or hold grudges if we become dissatisfied with NHLA, but will register necessary complaints with the teacher or administration following the Matthew 18 principle that is outlined under the “Problem Resolution” section.
We will seek to support and advance NHLA in every area possible—spiritually, academically, physically, and financially.
We pledge our full cooperation to keep doctrinal controversy out of the school.
By enrolling their students, parents affirm and abide by NHLA’s statements regarding marriage, gender, sexuality, and sanctity of life.
We trust that our child is getting the very best Christ-centered education possible. We know that the staff at NHLA loves our child and will do their part to ensure our child’s success.
